The film Michael is doing very well in North America. Jaafar Jackson plays the role of the famous singer, and his work has caught a lot of attention. Directed by Antoine Fuqua, the movie has quickly become one of the top films in theatres.

In its second weekend, the film saw a strong rise in earnings. It did better than Oppenheimer, which made $46.7 million in its second weekend, but it is still behind American Sniper, which earned $64.6 million. So far, Michael has collected $183.8 million in North America.

With this total, the film has gone past other music-based films like Elvis ($151 million) and Straight Outta Compton ($161.2 million). This makes it the second highest-earning music biopic in the region.

As it heads into its third weekend, the film is likely to cross $200 million in North America. If that happens, it will be one of the few music biopics to reach this mark, along with Bohemian Rhapsody.

The film is also doing well in other countries. In its second weekend, it added $80.9 million overseas, taking its total outside North America to $240.1 million. Its total worldwide earnings have now reached $423.9 million.

Looking ahead, the film may finish its run with a global total between $800 million and $1 billion. Since its release on April 24, the movie has kept drawing large crowds, showing that people still love the story of this legendary artist.
