Delhi Mayor Election: Supreme Court to hear AAP’s plea on February 3
The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the petition of the Aam Aadmi Party for the Delhi Mayor election. The apex court will hear the matter next Friday i.e. February 3. A petition was filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of AAP’s candidate Dr. Shelly Oberoi for the election of mayor in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
A petition was filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party to conduct the election of the Mayor in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. AAP’s mayoral candidate Dr. Shelly Oberoi had filed the petition through senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi. In this case, CJI DY Chandrachud said that he will hear this petition on 3 February. Shelly Oberoi, in her petition, has sought an order to conduct the election of the mayor in a time-bound manner.
