In a disturbing incident at a private nursing home in Delhi’s Abul Fazal enclave, a man alleged that his wife delivered twins, a boy and a girl, but the hospital exchanged his son for two daughters. The couple initially received information that they had a son and a daughter, but when they were handed the babies, both turned out to be girls.

The man lodged a complaint at the Abul Fazal enclave police station, prompting an investigation. Police discovered that the hospital’s records initially indicated the birth of a boy and a girl. Further inquiry revealed that the hospital had sold the boy for five lakh rupees to a childless family.

Following the complaint, the police arrested four individuals, including the nursing home’s co-owner Tabassum Khan, along with two agents named Anjali and Begharaj Singh, and a woman named Rehana who intended to adopt the boy for the agreed sum.

The case has resulted in FIRs being filed under sections 370 and 363 of the law concerning child trafficking and kidnapping.
