Soon, all metro stations in Delhi-NCR to have ATMs



Soon, you don’t have to get out of metro stations in Delhi and NCR to withdraw cash from ATM. Delhi metro is planning to install at least one ATM machine on every station on its network. The move is likely to benefit daily travelers besides providing revenue for the Corporation.

According to a ToI report, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has invited expression of interest from banks and non-bank entities to install ATM at its premises across the Delhi NCR area.

“Currently, 175 stations already have one or more ATMs, but with the rapid expansion in 2018, the idea is to cover the entire network with the facility in 2019,” ToI quoted a DMRC official as saying.

Last month, DMRC had unveiled a service in partnership with cab aggregators — Ola and Uber — to provide last-mile connectivity for commuters through its kiosk at the stations.

These kiosks will provide booking facility for metro commuters, who will also be able to get information regarding booking status and location of already booked cabs.

The DMRC intends to allot spaces at almost all metro stations to the cab aggregators for catering to the last-mile needs of commuters. Already, 400 such zones have been identified at 210 metro stations.

The Delhi Metro network currently spans to over 317 km with 231 stations.

Delhi metro in recent years, has tied up with private partner to run various last-mile connectivity services, like, e-rickshaws and cycle sharing services.

As on date, more than 600 e-rickshaws (about 50 e-rickshaws from Dwarka subcity) are being run on weekdays in Delhi-NCR which caters to about 90,000 passengers, it said.



4 arrested for sexual assault of spa employee




Delhi Police captured four individuals after a worker of a spa center in Delhi’s Pitampura claimed she was molested and sexually exploited by its manager and a client.

A 22-year-old woman complained of rape in a spa center at Delhi’s Pitampura on Thursday.

Authorities from Maurya Enclave police station hurried to the spot and started the examination.

“On August 4, a PCR call was gotten at PS Maurya Enclave in regards to rape with a lady at a Spa Center, Pitampura Delhi. The police promptly arrived at the spot (the ocean spa center) where a victim aged 22 years along with her husband were present external the spa center and complained in regards to rape on her by the manager of the spa center and client,” said police.

She was sent to the hospital for her clinical assessment. A counselor from DCW visited her.

“She expressed that on June 30 she joined the spa on August 4 at around 6 p.m. one client came there along with the manager Rahul and requested sexual favors. Rahul offered her a soft drink, after drinking it she felt tipsy and both raped her,” said police.

A case under Sections 354A/328/376 D of IPC was registered and both the accused persons were arrested.

Unclaimed Bag, Tiffin Box in Delhi’s Rohini Spark Alarm But Nothing Suspicious Found
