Book Review of Debutant Author, T. Shree, ‘What If….’

This was the book we had mentioned in our article of last month ‘What If…’ The book is a romance based on contemporary times. If we look at romances and novels we have a preconceived notion but this book drags down that notion and brings in space for so much more. Romance is the most versatile topic and it has been beautifully expressed by T. Shree in the book. It’s a fairytale-like pretty story bringing in the different emotions at different moments.
The book will blow one’s mind, it’s a book filled with a variety of characters, the building of the characters, the plots, and their twists put you to think more about this story. It’s a book on the details are kept to the story there is no loose end in the story making it a blissful read.
Amisha & Avyansh had met up in an arranged set up but the marriage never happened because of Avyansh abrupt refusal to the marriage proposal. The protagonist of the story faces tragic situations in her day-to-day life. She has herself a social network and then she has her true own self. Managing two different personalities, two different images becomes a task for her. She has a big void formed inside her, as the social image of her being this happy, bubbly, and cheerful girl has completely taken a toll over her personal life making her empty of all her emotions and feelings. The book is settled in a middle-class family, talks about the pressure and Amisha was married to Nikhil forcefully and Avyansh was married to Sunanya but there was something between them. Destiny got them again into the same settlement after 15 years; professionally in the same company. Avyansh was President Band 2 and Head of Business Development for APAC and UK. He was famous as “The Forbidden Fruit aka Tempting.” He had already proved to be the one all the ladies in the company with his intense looks and attitude. Amisha also joined the company as a VP- branding and social media strategy in the same company and she had looks and style to turn a million heads around. It was all fine until they met each other; it was the silence before the sea Strom.
The book is based on a beautiful saying, what if it happens? And it says it all. There is such a deep connection with the characters in the story that you at one point will feel like being part of the book. It’s a great experience to read something this connective. It’s that one piece of contemporary romance that’s filled with thrill, bits of aww moments, and lots of hows and what’s.
Life is the result of our decisions taken at every point in life. Amisha, who was 18, and Avynash, who was 21 were in love with each other; it was love at first sight. They had planned to spend an entire lifetime of togetherness. But none can do their will against destinies play. Amisha’s family got her married to someone else, the marriage couldn’t stand for a very long time. Destiny had its plan of crossing their paths after 15 years.
The book is very engaging,  The little notes at the beginning of each chapter are super adorable and the highlighted dialogues and quotes make it very interesting. This book basically tells u- “If it’s meant to be, it will be”  The book is full of suspense and makes us so much familiar with the protagonist of the story. It’s like indulging in something so much interesting. The author deserves appreciation for the small details and the well-put story making it a beauty in itself.

The purpose of this book is to create that metamorphosis within you so that you discard the different persona you play in the drama of your life and reach a level of immense success and happiness.

Once you peel off the exterior masks you wear, only then can the ‘Real You’ reveal itself.

Today Delhi Wire had a fortunate opportunity to get an interview with Mr Swapnil Pawar. And it was indeed a wonderful experience. You can read the entire conversation below.

DW: Your book Your Next Self is generally a motivational book. So what inspired you to write this book?

Swapnil: I have been managing and conducting diverse businesses which I created successfully in the past 30 years of my Life. The events which happened, the obstacles I faced and the people I met during the course of these years gave me a vivid experience to live my life with more exuberance and passion. so the inspiration was always there present within me in the form of experiences that I had a strong desire to share with people. The pandemic really gave me some good time for contemplation and decided to write down all these in the form of a book titled YOUR NEXT SELF.

DW: Can you please tell our readers a little bit about your book?

Swapnil: I have shared all the real-life experiences in my life with my readers so as to bring forth a realisation within them to create a new self to deal with their problems and transform themselves with new thoughts and broader visions to experience life courageously. They have the power within them to consciously tread on a different path to create fabulous opportunities in their lives by discarding the old baggage of the past, releasing the anxieties and fear of the future and thus living life fully in the present moment to create happiness and fulfilment. Only when you can peel off all the exterior masks you wear can the real person emerge and this is the foundation of the book to create a metamorphosis within you for the best self of yourself.

DW:  What did you learn when writing the book?

Swapnil: The entire process of writing down your thoughts and emotions on a blank sheet of paper was challenging enough as I had to go deep down in the memory lane to extract the required information of the experiences and the impact they had on me. So yes, it was mentally draining but also it gave me immense satisfaction as I could complete the chapters one by one and it took around two years to complete my book YOUR NEXT SELF.

DW:  What surprised you the most while writing this book?

Swapnil: The surprising fact for me was that I started to find a flow in my writing which was not there earlier and once I was inspired to hold a pen and put my thoughts in the blank journal, it was like sailing in smooth waters with the flow and I felt unstoppable at times.

DW: When did you first realize that you wanted to be an author?

Swapnil: My entire concept of the book is of sharing myself with my readers. I never thought in terms of an author as I didn’t know how to write and never attempted deliberately to write something. It was screaming from within to pen down the thoughts and share something of value with people. Frankly speaking, I still don’t feel I am into the league of an author. My book is simple and flowing with my life experiences so that someone on this planet may benefit from the same and really transform themselves and create happiness within them.

DW: What is your schedule like when you are writing?

Swapnil: There is no fixed schedule for writing as it is a creative process. Whenever my heart shouts out loud enough from within, I just find my suitable corner in my home or office and let my mind and the pen have an unabashed rapport amongst themselves. I just get out of their way.

DW: What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?

Swapnil: My writing is very simple and I keep it uncomplicated. I can relate experiences and connect them emotionally with people.

DW: Where did you get information or idea about your book?

Swapnil: The idea was germinating within me for a few months until one day I stopped procrastinating on my thoughts and decided to just start writing.

DW: Do you hear from your readers much? What do they say?

Swapnil: I have got phenomenal reviews from the people who have read my book YOUR NEXT SELF. They found it to be simple, practical, and easy to read and absorb the messages fully. The commonest response was being unable to keep down the book once they started to read. That was the most satisfying aspect of the book for me.

DW: What motivational advice would you like to give your readers and aspiring writers?

Swapnil: My advice is very that We all have a very limited and finite time on this beautiful planet Earth. Make Your life the best story which you leave behind as your legacy for the generations to come. Au Revoir.

So above was the interview with Mr. Swapnil Pawar, the author of Your Next Self.
