Man Jumps Into Yamuna After Fight With Wife, Gets Rescued Just in Time.

A 30-year-old man named Lokendra Singh tried to take his life by jumping into the Yamuna River after an argument with his wife in Delhi. The incident happened near the Signature Bridge on Tuesday around 4 PM.

Police said Lokendra rode his motorcycle to the bridge, sent a message to his wife about his decision, and then left his phone and wallet on the bike before jumping into the river.

Luckily, some police officers were present on the bridge and saw him fall into the water. They quickly alerted nearby boatmen. Two of them rushed over and pulled Lokendra out safely.

He was taken to a local dispensary at Majnu ka Tila. After regaining consciousness, he told police he was under emotional stress after the fight with his wife. His wife and brother later came to take him home. Police are still looking into the matter.
