Today Delhi Wire had a fortunate opportunity to get an interview with Mr Swapnil Pawar. And it was indeed a wonderful experience. You can read the entire conversation below.

DW: Your book Your Next Self is generally a motivational book. So what inspired you to write this book?

Swapnil: I have been managing and conducting diverse businesses which I created successfully in the past 30 years of my Life. The events which happened, the obstacles I faced and the people I met during the course of these years gave me a vivid experience to live my life with more exuberance and passion. so the inspiration was always there present within me in the form of experiences that I had a strong desire to share with people. The pandemic really gave me some good time for contemplation and decided to write down all these in the form of a book titled YOUR NEXT SELF.

DW: Can you please tell our readers a little bit about your book?

Swapnil: I have shared all the real-life experiences in my life with my readers so as to bring forth a realisation within them to create a new self to deal with their problems and transform themselves with new thoughts and broader visions to experience life courageously. They have the power within them to consciously tread on a different path to create fabulous opportunities in their lives by discarding the old baggage of the past, releasing the anxieties and fear of the future and thus living life fully in the present moment to create happiness and fulfilment. Only when you can peel off all the exterior masks you wear can the real person emerge and this is the foundation of the book to create a metamorphosis within you for the best self of yourself.

DW:  What did you learn when writing the book?

Swapnil: The entire process of writing down your thoughts and emotions on a blank sheet of paper was challenging enough as I had to go deep down in the memory lane to extract the required information of the experiences and the impact they had on me. So yes, it was mentally draining but also it gave me immense satisfaction as I could complete the chapters one by one and it took around two years to complete my book YOUR NEXT SELF.

DW:  What surprised you the most while writing this book?

Swapnil: The surprising fact for me was that I started to find a flow in my writing which was not there earlier and once I was inspired to hold a pen and put my thoughts in the blank journal, it was like sailing in smooth waters with the flow and I felt unstoppable at times.

DW: When did you first realize that you wanted to be an author?

Swapnil: My entire concept of the book is of sharing myself with my readers. I never thought in terms of an author as I didn’t know how to write and never attempted deliberately to write something. It was screaming from within to pen down the thoughts and share something of value with people. Frankly speaking, I still don’t feel I am into the league of an author. My book is simple and flowing with my life experiences so that someone on this planet may benefit from the same and really transform themselves and create happiness within them.

DW: What is your schedule like when you are writing?

Swapnil: There is no fixed schedule for writing as it is a creative process. Whenever my heart shouts out loud enough from within, I just find my suitable corner in my home or office and let my mind and the pen have an unabashed rapport amongst themselves. I just get out of their way.

DW: What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?

Swapnil: My writing is very simple and I keep it uncomplicated. I can relate experiences and connect them emotionally with people.

DW: Where did you get information or idea about your book?

Swapnil: The idea was germinating within me for a few months until one day I stopped procrastinating on my thoughts and decided to just start writing.

DW: Do you hear from your readers much? What do they say?

Swapnil: I have got phenomenal reviews from the people who have read my book YOUR NEXT SELF. They found it to be simple, practical, and easy to read and absorb the messages fully. The commonest response was being unable to keep down the book once they started to read. That was the most satisfying aspect of the book for me.

DW: What motivational advice would you like to give your readers and aspiring writers?

Swapnil: My advice is very that We all have a very limited and finite time on this beautiful planet Earth. Make Your life the best story which you leave behind as your legacy for the generations to come. Au Revoir.
