Actor Aamir Khan turns 54 on Thursday and to kick off the celebrations, we have just the right treat for his fans. The talented actor is not only known for his great work in movies but also for being a true family man. And what better way to celebrate his birthday than with a selection of his cutest family pics.
Aamir started working in films when he was just 19 years old when he made his movie debut with 1984’s Holi. He later worked in films like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Dil and other romantic movies that made him a star. Two years after his debut, he married Reena Dutta, who had a small role in QSQT. Together, they had a son, Junaid, and a daughter, Ira.
The actor went on to work in hits like Sarfarosh, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Raja Hindustani, Rangeela, Akele Hum Akele Tum. He later worked in Lagaan, Rang De Basanti, Dil Chahta Hai, Taare Zameen Par, 3 Idiots and more, which earned him great critical acclaim as well. Reena and Aamir parted ways in 2002 and Reena was given the custody of both the kids. On a recent episode of Koffee With Karan, Aamir spoke about Reena with extreme fondness. “Reena and I were married for 16 years and when we broke up it was traumatic for me, for her and both our families. But we tried to deal with it as best as we could. It did not mean that I lost respect for Reena, or for that matter, I lost my love for Reena. She is a really wonderful person,” he said.
Aamir met Kiran Rao on the sets of Lagaan, on which she was the assistant director. They two got married in 2005 and welcomed their son Azad Rao Khan in 2011. The three now live together in their Mumbai home and treat their fans to adorable family pictures from costume parties.
In an interview to the Chinese media, Aamir talked about Kiran, how they fell for each other, his relationship with his ex-wife and how his eccentricities make Kiran love him even more. “I met Kiran when I was doing Lagaan. She was one of the ADs (assistant directors) on that but at that time, we didn’t have any relationship, we were not even great friends. She was one of the people on the unit. It was after my separation and divorce after some time that I met her again,” he said. “In that moment of trauma, her phone came and I talked to her on the phone for half an hour. And when I put the phone down, I said, ‘My God! I feel so happy when I talk to her.’ It struck me in that instant that when I am talking to her I am so happy,” he added.
“I can never imagine a life without Kiran as my partner. I feel very blessed and I am very grateful in my life… she is a wonderful person and I am very lucky to have her in my life,” he said.
So on his birthday, check out the most adorable pictures of Aamir and his family:

The Elephant Whisperer: The Heartwarming Story of a Couple and Their Orphaned Elephant!

In a world where we are often disconnected from nature and the creatures that inhabit it, “The Elephant Whisperers” brings us closer to the heart of one of the most intelligent and majestic animals on earth – the elephant. This documentary, which won the Oscar for Best Documentary in 2023, follows the story of Bomman and Belli, an indigenous couple who become the surrogate parents to an orphaned baby elephant named Raghu.
Set in the breathtakingly beautiful Mudumalai National Park in Tamil Nadu, India, the film takes us on a journey through the wilderness, showing us the natural beauty of the location and the life of the tribal people who live in harmony with nature. From the very beginning, we are captivated by the bond that develops between Bomman, Belli, and Raghu.
When Raghu is first found by the couple, he is a fragile, injured infant who is barely clinging to life. Bomman and Belli take on the responsibility of caring for him, nursing him back to health with love, patience, and a deep understanding of his needs. As the weeks go by, Raghu thrives under their care, becoming a healthy and mischievous juvenile who delights into playing with his human parents and exploring the forest around them.
The film captures the incredible intelligence and emotional depth of elephants, showing us how Raghu communicates with Bomman and Belli through a range of sounds and body language. We see how the couple responds to his needs, anticipating his every move and showering him with love and attention. The bond between them is truly heartwarming, and we can’t help but be moved by the way they care for Raghu.
But “The Elephant Whisperers” is more than just a story of a couple and their pet elephant. It is a celebration of the beauty and richness of the natural world, and a reminder of our duty to protect and preserve it. Through stunning cinematography and insightful commentary, the film shows us the interconnectedness of all life and the importance of living in harmony with the world around us.
The film also raises important questions about the conservation of elephants in India and the threats they face from habitat loss, poaching, and human-elephant conflict. It is a call to action for all of us to take responsibility for the welfare of these magnificent creatures and to work towards a future where they can thrive in their natural habitats.
“The Elephant Whisperers” is a film that will stay with you long after the credits have rolled. It is a powerful reminder of the beauty and fragility of the natural world, and of the incredible capacity for love and compassion that exists within us all.
