Girl child burnt with tongs, beaten by relative in Delhi’s RK Puram

On Wednesday, the police reported that a seven-year-old girl child had been subjected to horrific abuse in the RK Puram area. The relative of the victim, a woman who is her paternal aunt, and her son were responsible for the attack. The child had been burnt with tongs and beaten up. The son has been taken into custody while the woman is on the run.

The police further stated that the girl’s body had visible marks of burns and knife cuts. An FIR was filed on February 10th following a complaint and the accused son was arrested on Monday. The accused woman is employed as a nurse at Safdarjung Hospital.
