The Magenta Line of the Delhi Metro is now completely driverless. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has taken out the driver cabins from all 29 trains on this route, which gives more space for passengers. Right now, there is an attendant on every third or fourth train, but they will also be removed over time. DMRC has said that the Pink Line will soon have the same system.

Magenta Line Now Fully Driverless

A DMRC official said that the Magenta Line is now completely driverless. By removing the driver cabins from 29 trains, there is more room for passengers. The attendants will also be removed gradually. Together, the Magenta and Pink Lines make a 97-kilometer-long driverless network, which is the only one in India. The new corridors in DMRC’s Phase-IV expansion will also have driverless trains.
