Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal unveiled five new Mohalla Clinics, including one specifically catering to women’s health known as a Mahila Mohalla Clinic, within the city on Tuesday. During the event, Kejriwal emphasized the exceptional skills and dedication exhibited by the medical personnel at these clinics, underlining their profound impact on the populace.

Addressing the audience, the AAP national convenor also highlighted that a total of eleven Mohalla Clinics are presently operational in Greater Kailash, attesting to the significant expansion of this initiative.

The recently inaugurated healthcare facilities are strategically situated at Keshopur Sabzi Mandi, Shahbad Diary (housing both a general Mohalla Clinic and the Mahila Mohalla Clinic), as well as Govindpuri and Kalkaji Market. Utilizing their online platform, X (formerly known as Twitter), the party announced that the National Capital now boasts a total of 533 fully operational Mohalla Clinics, with 512 running during the morning shift and 21 catering to patients during the evening hours.

Initiated in 2015, Mohalla Clinics are community health centers that were originally introduced in New Delhi. These establishments offer essential medical services at no cost, encompassing prescription medications, diagnostic tests, and medical consultations.

Extending beyond the capital, the AAP-led Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, celebrated the eve of Independence Day, August 14, by inaugurating 76 Mohalla Clinics throughout the state. This step showcases the positive trajectory of the Mohalla Clinic initiative beyond its New Delhi origins.
