After consuming what they believed was a mouth freshener at a Gurgaon restaurant, five individuals were hospitalized due to mistakenly being served dry ice. The incident occurred at Laforessta cafe in Sector 90, where Neha Sabarwal, Manika Goenka, Pritika Rustagi, Deepak Aroda, and Himani, along with others, were dining around 9:30 pm.

Ankit, a member of the group, did not consume the mouth freshener as he was holding his one-year-old daughter. Upon consuming it, the group experienced a burning sensation in their mouths, followed by bleeding and vomiting blood. Ankit immediately contacted the police and arranged for an ambulance to take his friends to Aarvy Hospital in Sector 90. The doctor identified the substance as dry ice and advised them to hand over the packet to the hospital, as it could be fatal.

Police have registered an FIR against the waiter who served the substance. The restaurant’s manager attributed the incident to staff negligence, stating that the police are taking action against the staff member. Three people are still hospitalized, but their condition is improving.
