#10YearChallenge: Jennifer Winget, Drashti Dhami, Sanaya Irani, Hina Khan; check out their then and now pics

A new fever which has gripped the entire nation especially our television celebrities is the 10 year challenge where everyone is sharing a throwback picture of themselves from 2009 and a latest picture to show the relative difference in the last 10 years. Well, we are not really sure who started this but as a part of it, we have collated a few then and now pictures of our favourite television celebs including Jennifer Winget, Hina Khan, Divyanka Tripathi, Drashti Dhami, Sanaya Irani, Krystle D’souza, Rubina Dilaik among others.

All of our favourite actresses who have had a decade long career into the showbiz have had a drastic transformation in the last 10 years and we are so impressed with the way they have aged so gracefully and ruling the small screens like never before. Check it out right here:

Jennifer Winget

Jennifer, who was playing Dr Riddhima in Dill Mill Gayye in 2009, is currently one of the highest paid and sought after actresses in the Indian Television Industry. We must say, Jennifer has only grown more beautiful and graceful ever since.

Hina Khan

Hina who started her career as Akshara Singhania in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was in a girl next door avatar in 2009. Today, 10 years on, the actress is seen playing Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Her transformation from the quintessential bahu to the hot diva is impeccable.

Divyanka Tripathi

In 2009, Divyanka was a part of the show Intezaar, and today, she is the quintessential queen of television. Divyanka is currently seen in the show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. She has only grown to become more wise and pretty by the day.

Drashti Dhami

With her curly hair and bubbly avatar, there is hardly any change in Drashti since the past 10 years. In 2009, Drashti was a part of Dill Mill Gayye playing Dr Muskaan. The actress has grown as an actor stupendously in the last decade.

Sanaya Irani

Looks like Sanaya hasn’t aged at all. The actor who looked like the girl next door in the show Miley Jab Hum Tum is currently filming for their short film where she looks like a diva. Her transformation on-screen is huge but she has hardly changed off-screen.

Krystle D’souza

Krystle might be on sabbatical currently, but her then and now picture has really left us amazed. She was a part of the show Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil in 2009, and todaym she is a fashionista.

Rubina Dilaik

Rubina is currently slaying it as Saumya in the hit show Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. Back in 2009, the actress was a part of another hit show Choti Bahu where she looked like an innocent lamb. Her onscreen look has changed over the years to the T.

Whose transformation has impressed you the most? Let us know your views in the comments section below.

Shahid Kapoor injured while shooting for Jersey, receives 13 stitches; Mira Rajput rushes to Mohali

Shahid Kapoor has been hurt on the sets of his upcoming film Jersey. The actor was shooting a scene at the Mohali Stadium on Friday when he was hit by a ball on his mouth.

“Shahid was playing perfectly fine and rehearsing before the shot, when the ball unexpectedly came and hit him on the lower lip and cut open a wide gash where blood started gushing out. He was immediately taken for treatment and a doctor was rushed to see him. To close the wound, stitches were sutured by the doctor,” a source close to the makers told PTI.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, his wife Mira Rajput has left for Chandigarh to be by his side. “He is fine now. But the injury was a deep cut so he had to get 13 stitches. Mira has rushed to Chandigarh now on hearing the news. There’s nothing to worry anymore,” a report told the website.

The actor will take a break for the next few days as he has a heavily bruised lower lip. He will resume filming after the swelling subsides and the wound is healed, the PTI source added.

Jersey chronicles the story of a talented but failed cricketer, who decides to return to the field in his late thirties driven by the desire to represent the Indian cricket team and fulfil his son’s wish for a jersey as a gift.

The Hindi version of the sports-drama is being directed by Gowtam Tinnanauri, who also helmed the original 2019 Telugu film, starring Nani in the lead. Jersey, which also features Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapoor, will release in August this year.

Ajay Devgn comments on JNU: ‘Always maintained we should wait for proper facts to emerge’

Actor Ajay Devgn has tweeted about JNU violence, saying that one should wait for ‘proper facts to emerge’. Earlier when asked to comment on the same, Ajay had said he wasn’t informed well enough to talk about it.

“I have always maintained that we should wait for proper facts to emerge. I appeal to everyone- let us further the spirit of peace and brotherhood, not derail it either consciously or carelessly #JNUViolence,” he wrote in his tweet.

His comments came on a day when the Delhi Police named Aishe Ghosh, the JNU students’ union president, as one of the nine suspects identified by them in connection with three criminal cases registered by the police. Ghosh was part of the group attacked by masked men on Sunday evening at the JNU campus.

Ajay also spoke about the clash between his Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior and Deepika Padukone-starrer Chhapaak. Talking about both the films releasing Friday, the actor says he wants both films to do well at the box-office because he feels both are based on really good subjects.

Two days after Deepika visited JNU to express solidarity with the students who were attacked by a mob, a controversy erupted with #boycottchhapaak trending on Twitter. Many including Ramesh Biduri — BJP MP from South Delhi — asked people to boycott Chhapaak and watch Tanhaji instead.

Reacting to a Twitter war that has erupted over the issue, Ajay said at a media interaction in Mumbai on Friday: “A war is happening?! Who is doing it? I feel there is no such war is taking place. People express themselves on social media and we don’t take it seriously. I feel both films are made on really good subjects and I want both films to do well at the box-office.”

The actor is also co-producer of Tanhaji, and he is a known for his acute sense of film business. Asked if the clamour to boycott Chhapaak would help his film, he replied: “You (the media) know that better. I will get to know about it by the evening.”

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is a biographical period action drama in 3D, starring Ajay Devgan, Saif Ali Khan, Kajol and Sharad Kelkar. The film is directed by Om Raut. Set in the 17th century, it is based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, who was a subedar in the army of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, founder of the Maratha Empire.
